Enjoy Hot Springs

 

Hoppo Onsen
This is located at high ground near the ropeway station which comes from Hasuike Pond. The name, "Hoppo Hot Spring" was derived from the popping sounds,("hoppo,hoppo") which spring from the base rock.

 

Shigayama Onsen
This hot spring which flows from the foot of a giant ski area has three different fountainheads. There are hotels with hot spring pools and / or open-air baths.

 

Takamagahara Hot Spring
This is situated on the west slope of Mt. Higashitateyama, and being located at the highest level it has a fine view.

 

Kidoike Onsen
Located near Kido pond, kidoike hot spring has a campsite which is good as a base for outdoor sports. (mountain climbing and trekking).
Makuiwa Onsen
Located in the Sunvalley ski Area, it is surrounded by white birches. This area (Makuiwa Ravine) is quiet and beautiful.

 

Kumanoyu Onsen / Hotaru Onsen
Kumanoyu hot spring, (which was found by Zonan Sakuma, a great writer) is loved by a lot of tourists. Fireflies hobers near the Hot Spring.
