Course Outline
You can see the whole area of Shiga Kogen from the summit of Mt. Higashidate and is reachable from Hoppo Hot Springs in 6 minutes by gondola.
If the weather is good, you can enjoy the magnificent view of Kitashin Gogaku (Mt. Madaraoyama, Mt. Myokoyama, Mt. Kurohimeyama, Mt. Togakushiyama, Mt. Iinawayama) and the Northern Alps.
At the top of the mountain is the Mt. Higashidate Takayama Botanical Garden, where you can also have a meal at the rest house.
