– Due to traffic restrictions caused by volcanic activity at Mt. Shirane, the route from Manza Junction to Kusatsu Onsen remains closed until 29 May 2026, at 13:00. In that case, you can reach Kusatsu via the Manza Highway (toll road) through Manza Onsen and Tsumagoi village.
