Traffic Restrictions Due to an Event & Construction Work in October

Shiga Kogen Shirakaba Rout (Shiga Kogen Yamanoeki – Hotel Astoria) 【No access during the following period only.】

Due to the “Craft Fair in Shiga Kogen” event, the road will be closed to vehicles during the event.
Please use National Route 292 to access the event venue, Shiga Kogen Yamanoeki.

Period: 13:00 on 16 October to 18:00 on 18 October 2026

Okushiga Koen Sakae Line (Akiyamago Village Intersection – Nozawa Onsen Village)　【No access during the following period.】

Due to the construction work, the road will be completely closed to traffic during the following period.

Period: 28 September – 28 November 2026 *followed by winter closure until around May 2027
Location: Route 502 (Okushiga Kogen Sakae Line) between Akiyamago Village Intersection and Nozawa Onsen Village
